Not far from our Town Center apartments is a fun destination that "connects the community and artists to create an appreciation for the visual arts." It's called the d'Art Center, and is where you'll find galleries, activity rooms, and resident artist studios. Here is some of what you will discover during your visit:
Art in Motion
Held on the third Saturday of every month, Art in Motion is hosted by resident and assistant artists. They offer demonstrations in an array of media and enjoy sharing their passion with others. Demos may include wheel throwing, glass lampworking, and an introduction to cold wax painting. Art in Motion takes place between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The Vault
Found inside a historical bank vault, The Vault is an exhibition space where artists can display their work in a one-of-a-kind setting. The pieces are for sale and are sure to enhance any room of your home. You can even shop online to see what's available inside The Vault.
Classes and Workshops
Enhance your artistic skills through the center's classes and workshops. They're led by skilled artists, and all abilities can join in on the fun. The sessions rotate and may include painting, upcycled holiday decor, and more.
Become a Volunteer
Finally, for a unique behind- the-scenes look at running an art center, become a volunteer. The center offers both specialized and general interest opportunities to support its events and regular programming. Choices include working as classroom assistants, gallery docents, and social media assistants.
