Historic aircrafts

The Military Aviation Museum is home to one of the largest private collections of World War I and World War II-era military aircraft. They carefully restore each plane to its former military condition, using original parts whenever possible. Most planes are flight-worthy and are flown during flight demonstrations and at air shows. The museum finds its collection of historic airplanes from all over the world.

Goxhill Tower

RAF Goxhill was the first British airfield that was formally transferred to the US Army Air Force in August 1942. The Goxhill Tower at the Military Aviation Museum near Virginia Beach is not a reproduction. It is the actual watch tower that became USAAF Station F-345 Goxhill. It was one of the few authentic towers of its kind in the United States. You can stand on the very balcony that represents American and British teamwork during WWII.
