Funny Bone Comedy Club & Restaurant
At the Funny Bone, both famous comics and up-and-coming sensations take to the stage. The club first opened in Pittsburgh after co-founder Gerald Kubach became passionate about comedy. Now found in select cities, Funny Bone has welcomed everyone from Drew Carey to Ellen DeGeneres. If the shows inspire you to bring out your inner comedian, the club also offers a fun comedy school. Head instructor Tim Loulies has taught some of the best comedians in Hampton Roads. The six-week course covers topics like stage presence and original comedic writing and ends with a graduation showcase.
Push Comedy Theater
Found on Norfolk's Granby Street, the Push Comedy Theater became a local favorite in 2014. The shows range from improv to stand-up. They're offered Thursday through Sunday, and both local and national acts keep audiences entertained. Co-owner Brad McMurran began writing sketch comedy over ten years ago. He's thrilled to bring the best talent to the stage and is even one of the theater's performers.
Cozzy's Comedy Club & Tavern
Cozzy's opened in 1991, making it the oldest comedy club in Virginia. It's "where good friends and good times come together." The weekend shows welcome the finest comics around, and you're sure to laugh from beginning to end. During the performance, be sure and enjoy a delicious meal. Offerings include New England clam chowder, brisket sandwiches, and fall-off-the-bone ribs.
