It was in Richmond, Virginia, where Ames Russell created AR's Hot Southern Honey. His delicious creation quickly became popular among his family and friends. Today, it's the South's only authentic hot honey and is found on store shelves across the country. Enjoy AR's Hot Southern Honey with cheese and crackers, drizzled over fried chicken, and more.
Empowered Plant Cakes
To satisfy your sweet tooth, pick up a sweet treat made by Empowered Plant Cakes. The bakers specialize in creating whole food cakes without compromising flavor. They also prepare the recipes from scratch, and their mission is to offer desserts that make you feel good.
Everling Coastal Farm
Founded in 2016, Everling Coastal Farm opened after John Everling retired from technology sales. He was looking for something else to do and worked alongside his wife to provide organically grown microgreens to local restaurants. The couple began cold-pressing food oils in 2019. They press and bottle the oils at their Virginia Beach shop, and you'll also find their offerings on the shelves at Foodies.
Bear House Coffee Roasters
At Bear House, the coffee is roasted in a mobile trailer. The team creates in small batches to bring out richer, more flavorful coffee notes. When you buy a bag, you're helping to support 100 percent organically grown coffee. In addition, the company also believes in giving back. That's why it donates 10 percent of proceeds to wildlife conservation.
