Founded in 2005, the Chesapeake Bay Distillery opened to create gold medal spirits in Virginia. It later became the state's first double gold craft distillery. Owner Chris produces the spirits in small batches. He enjoys getting to know his customers and says that flip-flops and sandy feet are always welcome. The tasting room menu features drinks like Beach Buggy, Crabby Ghost, and RVA Cooler.
North End Bag Company
At the North End Bag Company, the artisans have over a decade of experience. On most mornings, you'll find them in their shops in the ViBe Creative District cutting from their custom patterns. They create the bags using a centuries-old process, and each bag becomes more beautiful with age and use. Along with the bags, you'll also find a selection of belts, bracelets, wallets, and more.
Splash House
Bring out your inner Picasso at the Splash House. This exciting destination offers the city's first and only paint splash experience. You can create your masterpiece using water guns and other tools. You'll also choose your own colors, and there are no rules when it comes to splashing the paint. Each session is one hour, and the studio assistants can answer any questions. While walk-ins are welcome, reservations are highly recommended.
